Our Mission:

Guide.

CBMA believes that families and home environments are the major influences in the life of a young child.  We employ professionally trained teachers who collaborate with each child and his/her family on an individual/familial basis to ensure each child’s success. CBMA provides an environment and curriculum that is rooted in the Catholic and Montessori approaches for educating young children and we strive to support children in their endeavors of evolving into creative, competent human beings who respect self, others and the world around them.  Our enriching program promotes the values of inclusion, justice, love and peace.  We are proud to be an organization that instills a love of learning, promotes self-esteem, and promotes motivation while providing discipline and order.

Infant and toddler programs

Parent/Infant and Parent/Toddler classes are wonderful opportunities for a parent/caregiver (i.e., grandparent, nanny/babysitter, etc.) to experience time together with the child in a prepared classroom environment.  Classes provide children with a unique opportunity to explore their growing independence while developing basic skills.

Classes meet once a week and are facilitated by a Montessori trained teacher who provides direction in material usage, information regarding child development and offers references when needed.  The teacher also focuses on the continual observation of each child, providing feedback and guidance to the parent/caregiver.  Parents and caregivers may also utilize articles, books and videos from our lending library.

In order to promote independence, furniture is child sized.  Age appropriate materials at each level guide the love for learning that is inherent within each child.

3-6

3-6 Year program

The child’s first educational experiences in PreK and Junior Kindergarten lay the foundation for later success. CBMA provides a nurturing, invigorating and welcoming environment that stimulates thinking and enriches social skills in these early formative years. Through hands-on experiences and whole child instruction, our young learners discover how the world works and develop a joy of lifelong learning.

Teachers encourage our youngest to explore and discover through their own natural curiosity and creativeness. Learning through imaginative play and collaborating with peers and teachers, our young learners develop imagination, inquisitiveness and learn to speak and think articulately.

We offer 3-6 year old Montessori classes for children ages 3-6 who are fully toilet trained.  All programs are full-day classes, held from 8:00am-3:00pm.  You can elect to enroll your child for 5 half or full days.

6-12

6-12 year prograM

As young minds graduate and enter the primary level of education, their challenges and surroundings must change to suit their needs.  At CBMA we believe in following the child's developmental course and seeing them to their greatest potential.

Goal-Oriented Responsibility: Teachers work with parents to identify and set age-appropriate responsibility goals reflective of the child’s particular needs and strengths, leading the child to be self-motivated and self-directed.

Learning-Together Environment: A Bright & Cheerful Home! Every part of our learning environment fosters a spirit of home, family, warmth, support, encouragement and authentic love. We encourage students to be sincere, honest and kind in their work, play and in their friendships with other students. As children feel welcomed, comfortable and safe they develop an enthusiasm for going to school. Our trusting and secure setting fosters strong friendships where students help each other and support those who may be experiencing difficulty in a particular subject.

Summer Programs

This year's Summer Enrichment Program is offered to currently enrolled students only for 4 week or 5 weeks (2 different programs), 5 days per week from 8:30am-1:00pm.  CBECC will provide the children's morning snacks, and children will need to bring their own cold picnic lunch (please do not send in anything that needs to be warmed or cooked).  Lunches will be eaten outside on the CBECC grounds, weather permitting.
